SAROD 2003, SAROD 2005, and SAROD 2007 were organized to share experiences of personnel involved in aerospace vehicle design programmes that are being pursued in India and abroad. The overwhelming response was indicative of the strong desire among the aerospace designers to have a forum to learn from each other, add value, share, work together and reach higher levels of understanding of flight aerodynamics. This sentiment is the driving motivation for SAROD 2009.

SAROD 2009 will be held in the capital city of Karnataka state, Bangalore, during 10–12 December 2009.

The symposium focuses on recent developments in the area of aerospace vehicle design with emphasis on applied aerodynamics.

New It is proposed to have a maximum number of participation of Aeronautical Engineering students and faculty and restricted to one each per college. The faculty and student should have interest of design of aerospace vehicles with emphasis on applied aerodynamics.
