SAROD-2003, SAROD-2005, SAROD-2007 and SAROD-2009 were organized to share the experiences of personnel involved in aerospace vehicle design programmes that are being pursued in India and abroad. The overwhelming response was indicative of the strong desire among the aerospace designers to have a forum to learn from each other, add value, share, work together and reach higher levels of understanding of flight aerodynamics. This sentiment is the driving motivation for SAROD-2011.

SAROD-2011 will be held in the capital city of Karnataka state, Bangalore, India during 16 - 18 November 2011. The symposium is aimed at bringing together people working in different aspects of applied aerodynamics and the design of aerospace vehicles, from both within and outside India, to share their insights.

The symposium focuses on recent developments in the area of aerospace vehicle design with emphasis on experimental aerodynamics
